RE: [RC] [RC] Electrolyte cookies ?? Receipts ?? anyone ?? - Diana Peterson

Well i wouldn't recommend eating them my self...lol

Ok here it goes.
I made my own electrolyte mix
1 part Dolomite powder ( health food store)
2 parts Lite salt ( blue container Morton)
2 parts Non iodized salt

(Of this mix I usualy take 2 oz's of powder and mix it with live cultured yoghurt( plain) and fill my syringes for my electrolyting during a ride. )

Now i took
Whole wheat flour
1 apple , shredded
5 karrotts , shredded
20 scoops( 2 oz each) of my eleyte mixed power. ( or use Perform N Win )
1 cup Mollasses
plus water

Mis till it is a dough like consistency.
I spooned this dough on a cookie sheet. It made 77 cookies. I baked them for 12 min on 350 in the oven

so 20 doses of eleytes , divided my 77 cookies is 3.85 cookies for one dose of eleytes.

I would feed 4 cookies every hour for a hot ride or when my horse works hard.

Just remember to take the amount of eleytes and divide it with the cookies you made.

I used a big bowl maybe 2 to 3 pounds of Sweet feed.

I hope this all makes sense to you.... I had a blast and cant wait to see what my horses think about them.

When you get a recipe, please forward it to me!? I've been thinking along the same lines.? Easy to feed on the trail, easy on stomach, and gives the stomach something to pass along.? If they look good enough I'll eat a few myself.
