[RC] slack reins/"on the bit"/on your hands,etc/Olympic videos - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

 The Sydney Olympics videos were a revelation to me. It was a relief to see
the Mark Todds,the O'Connors,et al,on the eventing course as they sometimes
yanked on reins,climbed all over the horse like a motorcycle rider,had their
toes pointed down etc,as neccesary.Then seconds later,they would be back in
proper form. So I took this to mean that these proper forms are what you strive
for,but not neccesarily something you can always do,or even want to do when the
sh-- hits the fan.In the dressage ring,I saw almost no slack reins on either
the 3-day or Gran Prix dressage horses,which I thought was perhaps a
dissapointment.
