[RC] Bit- for those who love their horses - WRSINOSKY

Well, jeez! I'm certainly glad I'm not alone with my opinion of the bitless bridle. If you can use it and your horse goes well with it...wonderful! I have this one four-hooved guy who is a real powerhouse and he will tug so hard on the bit (no matter what kind), that he leaves me exhausted and his mouth bloody. So I bought a bitless bridle. Yeah, buddy. And 3 miles from home, he did a spin and took off  like a rocket went off in his butt. There is no stopping this guy once he gets flying, so I bailed. Not pleasant, here in the desert. Ended up tearing the rotator cuff in my shoulder and he was home pacing at the gate. So ended my affair with the bitless bridle. I sent it back to the woman who made it for me and she added connectors for a bit. Now it works great! Don't get me wrong. I'm not bagging on bitless bridles. I just don't believe one thing works for everybody (or horse).
