Fw: Fw: [RC] re: ride times - Dot Wiggins

And how many of us don't do both the "on the trail" pauses for water and
grass and vet check hassles too?
More vet checks can take more time out of "ride times" And I'm not saying
it's always a bad thing, it just is the way it is.

We are only talking 5 minutes a hold here. I sure piss more than that
away on the trail taking care of my horse if there are long loops with
few holds.

So if one counts in the overhead time for a hold - time get in and come
down and stop the clock, one also needs to count the time taken on trail
to water and/or let the horse eat between checks on long loops. I
suspect it pretty much evens out in the wash.
