The discussions get a little twisted and US-centric sometimes, but Ridecamp is still the pulse of the sport.
Steph,

Is this supposed to read US-centric  or  U.S.-centric?

Hmmm... Probably a bad choice of words  (or letters)  on my part.  What I was trying to say is that, for those outside the USA that follow Ridecamp (and there are many!) much of the discussion is of marginal interest because it's about USA stuff.

(John and I are sitting downstairs in the lobby of the Millenium Hotel - have been here at the same table since breakfast (it's dinner time now) - working on our little laptops, hooked to the wireless network. Cidinha is here too (www.edurancebrasil.com.br) - sharing stories and gossip and philosophy. There is a harp player in the lobby, sweet sounds intermingled with the ubiquitous Nokia cell phone ringer. Everybody here has cellphones, sometimes it looks like a country of people talking to themselves. )
