How about right after this WEG every rider could declare two 
potential horses for four years from now- no matter what you
could only ride one of those two horses (DNA required).  You 
could spend lots of money and buy this years winner, but you 
would have to keep them fit and sound for 4 years.  You could
pick the best youngster but would have to bring them up 
correctly.  Each country still have qualification rides as 
needed to pick teams.  This would be a more valid test of
horsemanship and give the world a champion they could respect
and admire- Just a thought from where the weather is perfect but there are no 
horses available
