[RC] flax seed - Patti Kuvik

I get stabilized ground NutraFlax from HorseTech.
http://www.horsetech.com/default.htm
(It can be ordered without the added calcium used to "balance" it - I just
put "no added calcium" in the comment box when I order).
The price is fairly reasonable (you do pay for the convenience), the shelf
life is about 6-9 months (I keep in in the house during the hot summer) and
my horses much prefer it to fresh ground flax - I just top dress. Also
handy if you have to have others feed for you.

I'll bet the biggest difference is price. Last time I decided I needed =
it to keep healthy, it was about $5 for just a few ounces. Probably has =
to be more carefully processed.......you know, less rat hairs per pound.

For those who are already using it, do you soak it with beet pulp? I =
can't see going thru everthing that web-site says must be done.
