[RC] slide show/PowerPoint - rides2far

I've got quite a few photos scanned and have done lots of Powerpoint. If
you just happened to need shots I already have, or if we could post and
see if others would e-mail them to me I could put a basic one together
pretty easily. My gap in knowledge is burning things to CD. I carry them
around on a storage clip (what *is* the proper name for that removable
disk D or whatever?) I guess I could ask how to burn it. You tell me what
you want on them and I'll tell you if I can do it. Of course that won't
help much if you can't get access to somebody's laptop that has
Powerpoint and an LCD projector.

I'm an Art teacher at a school that got a big technology grant. I've
spent a lot of time this last year playing with my G-5 Mac which has a
really cool program for editing videos and can burn them to play on any
DVD player. I've got a fair amount of video of us at rides and can
actually make something where they can watch a horse being trotted out,
etc. on a standard TV & DVD player if necessary. I play with the program
a lot. Couldn't resist making one for the PNR convention talk I did the
first night. If you're *really* in a tight and could only get a TV & DVD
player might put you together a little something like that to get you
through. It could even go on VHS if you're *really* low tech. :-))

If I can help and if others on RC wanted to send some photos we might
just put together a basic one that we could loan around and if it was
Power Point they could add or take away from it easy enough.

Thanks for all the replys concerning a "slide show." Apparently
slide shows
are a bit outdated (similar to me going to the music store and
asking for a
certain "record")...so now there is something called power
point....has to do
with a lap top and a projector of some sort. Oh well... I guess
its time to
take another giant step into whatever age this is...any info about
how to get
started with "power point" would be much appreciated. My e-mail is

The bigger they are, the farther you fall.
