[RC] [RC] combining shoeing and natural trim - Sluys Guys

I keep my horses barefoot but have experimented with plastic shoes for certain rides. Last year I used Ground Control shoes on my gelding. I trim mostly myself but sometimes have a natural trimmer come out just so that I know that I'm still on the right track. He has been willing to work with me when I feel like I need to shoe temporarily. We applied the Ground Control shoes with the natural trim (pretty much as you described) and it worked fine. I took the shoes off after 3 weeks because he didn't need them and I wanted to trim him again but for the time they were on they performed well with the natural trim.
