I'm just worried that he is too heavy a build.  He's a hair under 14'2" and built like a tank, with heavy muscles, etc.  I'm sure I could try some competitive trail rides on him, but I'm not sure he could do 50's.
Just my kind of horse.  14.2 and built like a tank.  They do the best.  Sure he can do 50's if he wants to.....Course I am one of those people that thinks almost any horse can do a 50........................I know that some can't but I think the majority can..................I started my old 16 year old off the rent string Quarter/Morgan cross on the Drakes Bay 50 and he did fine.  He did a number of 50's, some LD and also some RAT, and that was when Becky wasn't giving riding lessons on him.......mb
