[RC] Weight Divisions - Jonni

Shannon, I really don't see it matters what weight division you ride in
right now as you are doing LD and they do not have weight division awards on
a national or regional level. (and geez, don't any of you LD riders read
that as any kind of slam etc. and get your riding tights in a wad...it is
just a statement, nothing more) When you move up out of LD, then the weight
division would make a difference if you are chasing after year end awards.
In fact, glancing over the rule book, I don't even see weight divisions
mentioned for LD rides. The only time your weight would come in to play,
would be if they offered a LD Best Condition. And then it would not matter
WHAT you wrote on your entry, as they will weigh you....with tack.
Jonni

This if very confusing to me I am a new AERC member as of early 2005.
When I joined I was a heavy weight including Tack. I did my first LD as
a heavy weight in April. Then I did not have another ride until October.
During this time I lost about 15 pounds and my new tack was ~ 25 lbs
lighter. This brought me down to the Middle Heavy weight. But I was told
at the October ride I could not "change" my weight division, that was
only allowed when you sign up each year and for one month in the summer.<<<
