[RC] Lori and barefoot information - Benedikte Whitman

I know that many of you on this list have had infromation on this debate
for a long time. However, as a newbie to this, I really appreciate Lori's
information. I have seen people at CTR rides with their recently
barefooted horses from a New Balance "guru", and the horse is so sore,
they have to pull before lunch on the first day.

I have always had questions about the whole process and idea and it was
really refreshing to have someone say that it is a long process that you
have to be committed to going through - rather like conditioning for an
endurance ride. Almost everyone else I have heard has given me the
impression that transferring to this way of managing feet was simply a
matter of calling a farrier knowledgeable in this style, having your horse
trimmed, and off you go.
Thank you again for that very good information.
Benedikte
