Re: [RC] Thanks Heidi - Chris Paus

Horse shoes weren't invented a hundred years ago, try
thousands! Ever since the Iron Age, horses have worn
shoes. The ancient Greeks and Romans shod their
horses. It's not new technology and it has been
perfected over the long haul, but despite all the new
and wonderful products out there, most riders and
farriers go back to the tried and true because it
works.

Thanks Heidi for such a great write up regarding
barefoot.

To all you barefoot riders. did you ever hear of a
working cowboy trying to ride barefoot. Why do you
think they invented horseshoes in the first place,
hundered plus years ago? To be cruel? No, so that
they could ride and work over long distances. Sound
cruel to you, to protect your horses hooves?
