as of 2004 the 2x80km (2 day 100) may also be used to gain COC. The upcoming 
Florida Endurance 
Festival will have 3 2x100s to accommodate those who wish to gain COCs. So yes, 
you should 
question -- and find the answer and move on down the trail:)
