Well gee, since I am sure this is aimed at me. You need to go back and
re-read Deborah's original post, and my reply. She is the one who felt
riding a horse 12 hours is ABUSE. Not me. I was just replying to a few of
her statements. Like those who go slow don't know how to train a horse to go
faster. Did I say she was abusing her horses by riding fast?  I sure don't
think I did. I said  "You can continue to race your horses, and that is
fine. Others will continue to ride slower, and maybe 5 days in a row doing
50 miles  each day <gasp>, and that is also fine. As long as we ALL look out
for what is best for the horses, and do not have them getting treated to
save their lives, or worst yet, die" . So do NOT say I am attacking someone,
as she was the one who brought up those who go slow are abusing their horses
and don't know how to train for speed. I personally don't give a flip how
anyone races. Fast, slow, AERC or international. But I do care about the
welfare of the horses, and if the sport is killing them, no matter what the
speed. You would KNOW if I was bashing someone...trust me. And I don't think
I was........
