[RC] frozen - hooves - LaFollett, Megan

Title: frozen - hooves

Okay, so this is my first winter in eastern Washington with my horse, previously living in the Willamette Valley. So of course, I am the proud (and broke) new owner of a heated water tank, a thick cold-weather blanket, and (soon) a cozy stall... But I'm having a problem with large amounts of ice building up on the bottom of Pride's hooves. I noticed it right after winter arrived in a hurry, and I've been picking the ice off a couple of times a day. This morning, however, I couldn't get the ice off. Any suggestions???

Megan (who still doesn't miss the mud I used to routinely lose boots in, never to be seen again)
