Georgetown (just north of Austin) is rapidly freezing over 28 degrees on
the back (south) porch, wind is howling and it's drizzling and raining off and
on - got out and put my tarps up on the chickens and horse stall. Holly's
a bit of a princess...she's in the stall staying as warm as possible and
dry. While I was putting up the tarps she was throwing a wall-eyed fit
because I didn?t do HER stall first, romping, bucking and generally having
fun....I love my wild child
And make warm bran mashes with your feed ration -- yes, the old
fashioned wheat bran, which is really inexpensive, btw (!), is really
good as well. It smells so good, and my horses love it.
