RE: [RC] LD/BC - heidi

Heidi --
What statistics are you referring to whereby you conclude where and in
what numbers horses are being overridden? Or are we just discussing an
extrapolated opinion? Bruce

Haven't paid attention to the treatment reports for the past few years,
but in years past, those were discussed at the veterinary CE at the
AERC convention each year. And there weren't any higher treatment
rates in the "BC" regions than in any others.

There is a certain amount of "extrapolated opinion" as well--from the
years that I vetted upwards of 20 rides a year and simply didn't see
problems with the LD horses, despite the fact that I judged LD BC by
the AERC method at each and every one.

Check out the vet from the SE region who also posted his experience to
back this up--"extrapolated opinions" from docs like him who vet LD
horses weekend after weekend tend to hold more water than "theories"
from people who have no experiences from which to extrapolate...
