Re: [RC] spooking - Barbara Moulton

same thing worked for my mustang, she trots right up
to anything new now and wants her treat for touching
it. I have to remember to ride with a loaded
fannypack. I have only found one thing that really
freaks her and that is anything to do with fire./smoke
She doesn't like to cross burned over fields, going
past burned trash, torched junk cars or the burned elk
skull and she went flipping nuts once on a new trail
when we approached some large bulls. She used to be
pastured with some rodeo bulls so I didn't get it
until we were coming back the same way about twenty
minutes later and within a mile as the bird flies was
a huge smoke plume- the news that night at 10:00
reported a chemical fire had started at 7:00 pm just
as we were approaching that bull field. She could
probably smell something burning with chems and
thought those bulls must have been from Mars.
