I've lived without an ACL on the right knee for about 15 years now. Maybe 
that's why the articular cartilage is gone on that knee... ... but at my age 
I'm stuck with it. two orthopedists have said they don't do ACL surgery on 
old ladies.

My reply:

That's what my doc said.  "You're too old and not active enough to warrant 
surgery."  I'm 50 and plan on riding Tevis next year.  I feel young and that's 
enough activity for me!
