Re: [RC] Poet Sites - rides2farYou all thought me nuts for wanting to ride him into Jerusalem, but i considered it, and i ain't Normal. There was a book...um...*something* gold...Maybe Sinai Gold? or something like that...(this is endurance related because Joe Edwards told me it was a good book while riding in the Biltmore 100). So, anyway, I read it and in the book they claimed that the Arabs had started plans on a nuclear plant and the Israelis knew about it. Rather than cause an international incident (the Israelis always prefer to get forgiveness rather than permission) they flew their jets in towards it from the East, out of the sun, at daybreak, and bombed the site WITH LIVE PIGS. Supposedly it was their big insult and a way of saying, "Cut the crap, we know what you're doing and the next time it will be the real thing". And according to the book the hint was taken and construction stopped without a big international scene. I have often wondered if it was true.
