[RC] black pads..color wavelengths - firedancefarms

<<Black as a color is all colors and absorbs.  White is the absense of all colors and reflects.  This is scientific fact and not personal mumbo jumbo>>>

Yikes, the science teacher has to jump in here.  Color is a wavelength.  Black is the ABSENCE of color and white is all colors.  The color that you see is the color reflected back, and it's opposite (think of your color wheel) is the main color (wavelength) absorbed.  For example a green plant predominantly absorbs  the RED wavelength, therefore it reflects back what it does not absorb, which is green.
White is reflecting all colors back and absorbing none.  Black absorbs all colors and reflects none.  This can be proved by using a prism.
So here's the question I ask my kids; do your clothes have a color if there is no light??
