[RC] Road information Nevada and Arizona - Sisu West Ranch

We are thinking of taking a trip to the Phoenix area next Feb. We would be hauling a large LQ trailer and 4 horses. I am begining to plan a possible route.

The problem is that parts of the route will have to be off of the freeways. I am considering two routes.

One will take us through Las Vagas, and then take US 93 to Phoenix.
The other will use US 89 from I70 (Joseph, UT), through the South part of the Grand Staircase to Flagstaff.

I would like to hear from those who have pulled through this area about the state of these roads and expected cruising speeds.

If someone has another suggestion for a route from I15 at Salt Lake City to Phoeniz I would also like to hear.

You probably should reply privately to keep the list clean.
