[RC] Competition Question - Don Huston

Diane wrote: "Will sitting out next year or minimal competition have a detrimental affect?" In a word "No". For all the horses I have owned it has always been very beneficial to sit out 6-8 months then do minimal competition cause all those unknown tweaks and sprains heal up, pull the shoes (but trim often) and the hooves improve, they gain some weight and always end up with a better attitude.
