I agree we should never put down other disciplines...you never know what goes into it until you try it and there are nice people and not so nice people in every discipline. I have done eventing, dressage, hunter jumpers, racecourse, and polo...now I am interested in endurance and driving. I also think I want to take lessons from a reining person...I have never ridden western and it looks neat. We all have things to learn from each other and I have good friends from all the different types of riding I have tried. I wish I could ride all the different ways...I would be one hell of a rider then don't ya think!!?? Too bad I need to make money or I would just be a permanent working student!

should look effortless, that you cannot even see the signals, or aids, of the
rider to the horse? I have never tried dressage, but I do know it would
make me a better rider. If I had the funds to take lessons, that would be

about age 2, just being put in a saddle and off we went. I rode bareback
in the pasture for years, so at least I learned a natural seat -
ha! I never had lessons until I was in my mid-20s, I sure wish I
could have had lessons as a youngster, it would have made a world of
difference. However, in my mid-50's now, I'm still riding...! Never
have outgrown my love of horses, and I know I never will.</font></div>
