Thrushbuster is my farrier's recommendation.  It's purple, so you know where 
it is.  It stays on the foot for a LONG time, and it really has cleaned up my 
mare's feet.  Best thing is you don't have to apply it every day.  I always 
try to remove as much yucky tissue as possible, then douse everywhere that 
looks 
infected with Thrushbuster.  Best of luck,  jeri
