[RC] DSLD Research - Jerry & Susan Milam

Degenerative Suspensory Ligament Desmitis is a problem my 13 year old has
had in both hind feet since I bought him when he was 3. He's been a pasture
buddy since he was 7. Now he is suffering quite a bit in spite of the
suppliments given from his hocks straightening and catching and his swollen
pasterns. We've limited his pasture so he doesn't have to travel so far for
grass, but nothing seems to be helping him.

I guess I'm at the point where I know something needs to be done for him. I
am a medical professional and know there are probably research projects
going on out there involving this wicked ailment but don't know where they
are. I know the vets at these facilities could make him more comfortable
while also using him in their research to further understand and improve the
prognosis of this ailment. I hate just putting him down when there's a
possibilty he could help in research of the problem he has.

Anyone out there know of anything going on or a contact person for something
like this?

Thanks & In His Hands,
Susan, Fly Bye,Dandy, & Sabian
