Re: [RC] vets - Diane TrefethenI can't speak about vets in other regions but here in the West, dispite some of the VC parameters being somewhat subjective, I have not heard of or experienced even one example of a vet subjectively manipulating the system, for or against any rider. Making VC protocols as objective as possible is a worthy goal and stating exactly what the CRI criteria will be at each ride should be part of the pre-ride meeting just as stating the maximum pulse rate is. However, I think painting vets as politicians, "all of whom have a price of some kind", borders on libelous and is simply not justified by the thousands of VC contacts riders have had with our vets over the years.
