[RC] poison oak and other itchies-CHEAP remedy - Sharlene Roberts-Caudle

In Missouri once my husband and I got badly bitten by
chiggers and affected by poison ivy at the same time.
It was August, and if you can imagine the horror of
two sweaty itchy people trying to sleep and snarling
at one another! I think that I heard this on the
radio, or maybe the student health center. . . . If
you use a handheld shower to spray water, as hot as
you can stand it, on the itchy parts until the itchy
is gone, you will get about 8 hours of relief. The
hot water activates the histimine (the cause of the
feeling of itch) and uses it all up. It takes about 8
hours for the body to activate enough to itch again.
It does work, on any itch I've ever had.
Sharlene
