After my 5th concussion (3 horse related) and having developed a full blown case of "canter anxiety" I started meditating.
Now whenever I start to get tense, I count to 10, with one
being the first breathe out. When I get to 10 I start
over again until I've relaxed.


Right now my biggest fear is cantering in an arena.  I
take dressage lessons once a week and have lucked
out in that my instructor is happy for me to stay at
the walk/trot level until I feel ready.
