RE: [RC] Easyboot Epics - Claire Nystrom

I recently switched from using Boa boots to Epics on my mare. The
lace mechanism on the Boas broke and kept undoing itself and flying
off when I tried to trot. I find the Epics much easier to put on than
the Boas and have not had any problems with them rubbing. I noticed
that the ones I bought did not come with Cotter pins, so sometimes,
but not every ride, the buckles pop open. This happens both in front
and behind. Fortunately the boots stay put. When I hear the buckle
clinking, I just hop off and fix it.
I am planning on ordering the Cotter pins, but I was just wondering
what might be causing the buckles to pop open.
