[RC] endurance 1897 - Steve Shaw

I have a e-photo of a Russian army officer and his horse which he rode 4,300 miles!! from St. Petersburg to Chita in 151 days, which included 30 days of rest layovers. This was in 1897.
If anyone would like to see it let me know and I will forward.
It shows some interesting tack and rigging. Had breast collar and crupper and what looks like a halter/headstall combination.
