[RC] Long rides and pee - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

My 18 yo horse is now in the prime of his endurance riding career, but he is
being thwarted by his inability to pee away from home. This is fine for rides
up to 50km (30 miles) as his heart rate is still in the 40's and he trots up
sound. However, for longer rides he often struggles or even fails to trot up
(but not lamed out) because he really needs to pee, but can't. I've tried
various tricks including whistling, wet straw and even peeing next to him, but
he just won't pee until he's home.

I'd appreciate any advice or tips that I haven't tried yet.

Thanks.

Duncan Nisbet
