Re: [RC] Half chaps - Carol Suggs

I have found that Ariat has the most generious sizing...I am not familar with the terrains, but you might try the Ariat ALL AROUND II.  They come in black or chocolate and are water proof suede with a stretchy panel for a more custom fit.  They are new this year and about $90 in the Dover Saddlery catalog.

Neoprene sounds too restrictive to me I have several knee braces made out of this material and I can't imagine wearing a 1/2 chap out of it.  I guess it would sweat your calves down!

Subject: [RC] Half chaps

I'm looking for a pair of lighter weight half chaps.  I currently use a nameless suede brand.  They're so old, I can't even remember where I bought them.  They work fine, but are very hot and bulky.   I just ordered the new Ariat terrains but have to return them because they don't fit me.  It doesn't look like any of the Ariat size offerings will work for me.

Can anyone recommend any other brands?   I've heard about neoprene half chaps, but they sound like they'd be really hot.   Anyone have experience with those?

Angie
