Are you sure you were riding through old growth?  I thought the
Headwaters occurred in and around carefully managed 2nd and 3rd growth,
but, I may be wrong.


Well, I do think some of the area was 2nd and 3rd growth, some of the trees 
were well over 10' in diameter and it did not look like many of managed 
forest that I have been through.  It is in the national forest in some 
secetions, if not all of it.  I may have used the term "old growth" a 
little loosly, but many people use that term to describe trees older than 
75 years, so?
