Re: [RC] Cougar Rock pics 2005 - cowgirgoof

My experience last  year of going up Cougar Rock is that you have to lean forward. The pictures just do not do that climb justice- it is STEEP!
My photo has the look of someone in basically a three-point position as if I was jumping a 5 foot fence; and I'm sure that is about the same effort as Cougar Rock...
 
Also, my photo was evaluated by Donna snyder Smith last year, and she says I was basically correct except being left behind a little. (probably from being a flat-lander and totally not used to terrain that steep!)

There's another fall on photo #104 (Lyons Ridge section).  Is it just me, or
are a lot of these people leaning too far forward?  I had always been told
to keep your weight level and let the horse change the angle, but some of
these people are flat out lying on their horse's neck.

Gnarly fall, wonder if she finished! Lyons Ridge photos are better,  
the light is right, and it looks every bit as challenging as Cougar  
Rock on that piece.
