[RC] AERC horse/rider records - Michael Maul

In response to:"Are you Bill J. Proctor AERC #19041? and is the horse you are riding in your reports of field trials Smokey listed on the data base as AERC -3?"

The actual situation on the records is the following.

Apparently the rides done from 10/05/96 until 2/21/98 were done with no AERC number for Smokey and from 10/05/96 until 9/20/97 with no AERC # for Bill Proctor. They are in the AERC records with NO ID following the information.

When there is no AERC number for a horse - the default number is -3. That means when you click on the link for Smokey in the first two of Bill Proctor's rides - it brings up every Smokey from 1984 to the present that doesn't have an AERC #. Apparently Smokey is a fairly common name and a lot of them don't have AERC numbers.

The riding records for Bill proctor and Smokey in the AERC records can be found at

and w/o an AERC #

I'm having the office combine those into one record for Bill/Smokey.

If anyone else checks rider/horse history and finds their name/horses name followed by a NO ID - these records can be combined into your official record by the office if you provide the ride name, date, placing, and AERC numbers.

Mike
