Re: [RC] Specialized saddles - Suzi Maiorisi

I've got a SS and love it...you will too, Cindy.  The shims are a breeze to set up and you can easily fit the saddle to any horse out there - so if your gelding (like my mare) ends up with a few months off and is no longer wide here and narrow there (mine's just plain round everywhere now as I've been down for 2 months now) you can adjust it to fit as needed even after you get it all set up...can easily change it to fit another horse you ride, too, just get extra shims and have them ready for the adjustment.  This is the most comfortable saddle I've ever ridden in, and I've ridden in quite a few Smiley emoticon

Subject: [RC] Specialized saddles

I'm interested in Specialized Saddles' International model for my gelding.  Would it be appropriate for a narrow horse with moderate but bony withers?  Would I likely need to do a lot of experimentation with various shims (I'm not likely to be very good at such operations) in order to make it work?
