[RC] "fancy show types" at CTR's - Tracey Smith

I do competitive trail too...and like Jonni have not really seen too many of
the "fancy show types". Sure some of the CTR folks also show their
horses...but if the horse can't cut it on the trail, it becomes blaringly
evident VERY FAST. And if the horse CAN cut it in CTR...what better way to
show off what a versatile horse you have?
Let's not turn this into a "have vs. have not" thing...no one EVER wins that
argument...so why bother.
Yeah the rules can be frustrating and many seem "nit picky" at first...but
once you get involved more you will understand there is good reasoning
behind them for the most part.

I know that when I tried to do Competitive Trail the dang rules drove me
nuts and it appeared to be a place for the 'fancy show types' to prove there
horses could go overland.<<<
