==========================================

This is just a note of condolence to my long-time friend Peggy Clark of the SE
district. She called yesterday and told me she buried her beloved
Bear(Connemara stallion), her daughter's starting endurance horse BLM Raven,
and a broodmare who has left an ofphan foal. All due to one bold of lightning.
Both Peggy and Bear competed against all odds for several years. No one
thought she could be competetive on a pony and let alone a stallion. Bear had
begun to suffer some COPD in the past year and has been retired but still was
producing beautiful babies, including the above mentioned orphan. The first
time I saw Mary Katherine, she was little more than a baby aboard the fat and
beautiful Raven. Raven carried that little girl many a safe mile and I am
deeply saddened at her loss. She was the one I told Peggy to bequeath me in
the case of her(Peggy's) demise. We all suffer losses of horses but 3 in one
night is a great burden. Hope all of you will rally around her. She is the
ride manager for Oconee WMA also and has given many years to endurance and it's
betterment. Love you Peggy. The sun will come out tomorrow. Cathryn
