[RC] Mentoring and teaming up for rides - moving up to a 50 - Karen Casemier

If my LD ride goes well at Wolverine next weekend, I'm hoping to move up to the 50 mile ride at White River Fall ride labor day weekend. While I would love to find an experienced rider who wants to hang at the back of the pack with me, I'd also be happy to ride with another newbie just for the company - and we could encourage each other when our horses look at us like we are crazy when we head back out after the second vet check ;>)

If I do the 50, I will definitely be doing a slow, conservative ride. I will probably also need to get off a few times and walk/run with my horse just for MY sake. Any takers, let me know at kcrazzmatazz at hotmail dot com. Ideally, we could get together for a few easy training rides prior to the actual ride. Then we can compete for the turtle award at the ride.
