[RC] IV's/Tevis - Steve Shaw

I don't think I know Truman, but I see nothing wrong with horses on IV's at Tevis. The vets and riders error in favor of treating a horse there. If there is something that would be passed over at most rides, it is not at Tevis. There are so many horses, new horses to this event and hot, hot conditions that the vets will IV a horse simply to be ready to do more. Considering the conditions and number of horses, as well as many first time Tevis riders the overly cautious vets go out of their way to be prepared.
At the WEC they IV'd Tallymark and a hour and half later kicked him out of the "hospital" for demanding a remote changer for the TV and more ice cream.
