RE: [RC] Tevis questions - heidi

I'd like to propose a question about gender of mules, and perhaps Heidi can 
answer this one.  True that mules cannot reproduce, as they are sterile, but 
I would think that a male needs to be castrated to prevent sexual behavior 
typical of an unaltered male animal.  Just because he is sterile does not 
mean he is not interested and may show undesirable behavior.

Is this correct, or not??

Absolutely correct, Barbara.  And Lif is also correct that "john" is the
correct label for a male mule, whether he is intact or gelded.
