Hear, hear!  Our old guy will be 30 in May, and he's not going anywhere.  He's 
still frisky and healthy (a little creaky in the rear legs, but still gallops 
with the herd).  We still ride him now and then, nothing strenuous, but he does 
so love to be taken out.  I just can't imagine getting rid of him, or putting 
him down just because we don't have time or desire to care for him.
