[RC] [RC] Ford truck problems - DreamWeaver

http://www.thedieselstop.com/ That link will take you to a forum where you can read more about the trucks. There are several others, just run a google search.

Ours is a 2003 F450, with the 6.0 engine. 30,000 miles successfully hauling horses, so far <knocking on wood>. There are good trucks, and lemons, in every model made out there, my sympathies to people who get the latter. When hauling horses, it become really important to have something that you can depend on.

The service department told us that the F450's haven't been seeing the same problems some of the smaller (1 ton and less) trucks have. Somebody I've known for 20 years so doubt he was lying to me, but you never know.

For those that haul horses a lot that are truck shopping be sure to check out the Fleet Departments, you can get a lot more truck (F450 / 1 1/2 ton truck) for less money than people are paying for F250's.
