LOL, no kidding! I used front leg boots ONCE on an LD ride in the Ozarks. My horse was coming back to work after a strained ligament and I thought it would be good to support his leg. Poor guy... when I took the boots off, they were full of sand and rocks and dirt. It was like he had wet sandpaper rubbing his legs all the while we were riding. After that I figured if my horse needed boots for a ride, I'd better leave him home.
