[RC] watermelon rinds, etc. - Amy Cieri

Gosh, my guys eat all that and more. Stale bread slices, stale cereal, old fruit, crackers, strawberry tops, old blueberries, old cookies, etc. Just about any food product that the cats don't eat, the horses will. In fact, on rides I have to fight my mare over my P B & J and power bars. She's no different than any other horse I've had. They just hang around the back door like a hungry dog looking for the scraps.
Only thing I don't give is the corn cobs. Not so sure they can chew them adequately.
The stale cereal is a great way to prevent boredom in the winter. Take a box and fling it all over their paddock. It'll take them forever to find it all.
