[RC] trailering w/ RV - Nancy

I have a small RV I use to tow my trailer. Due to the flat back wall of the
RV I have used a hitch extension to avoid the RV hitting the trailer (this
is like the gooseneck/short bed problem). I am looking for a new trailer
and was wondering what trailers other RV folks use and if they too have
"short tongue" issues. I understand you an lengthen a standard 2 1/2 foot
tongue by one foot and not cause trailer instability issues. Is this true?
Thank you in advance for your help.
