In Fl last year the medical association managed to get an amendment voted into the constitution that punished the lawyers. The lawyers turned around and got two amendments in the constitution that punish MD's. The bottom line now in FL is if an MD has 3 mal-practice claims against him - he/she loses his license for life in FL. I suspect they don't settle much in FL now either. Not only that the second amendment the Bar managed to get passed by the voters opens all the records of MD's to the public.
