[RC] saddle fitting induced insanity-help - Ed Kilpatrick

at the risk of sounding blunt,  i think some of y'all worry way too much about saddle fit.   most of the time, close enough is good enough.   this is self induced insanity that you are talking about.  your horse moves and his shape changes as he moves.  if the saddle is a "perfect fit" when the horse is standing still,  he can take one step, and it is no longer a "perfect fit".  so, dont worry about "perfect fit".   think about the shoes you wear.   the few pairs i have, none fit me exactly the same, but all are comfortable.
i have one saddle that i ride many, many, many different horses with. i ride a lot too.  i mean a lot.   no problems.  no soring, no white spots,  no bucking, no rearing, no humpback, no jumping around when i tighten the cinch or ugly faces either.  dont drive yourself crazy with this subject.   cowboy ed
